Death Knight Blood Rotation in

Manage buffs and debuffs
From being rewarded with bonus armor and Runic Power cost reduction from Bone Shield to Hemostasis to amplify your self-healing, these simple buffs are core to your rotation. You don't need to go out of your way for them, either!

Keep cooldowns on cooldown
Dancing Rune Weapon and all your defensive cooldowns are the bread and butter of the spec!

Optimize resources
The rest of the spec revolves around spending Runes to convert them into Runic Power as efficiently as possible. More Runic Power = more Death Strike!

Cast Death Strike if you need the healing or are above 75 Runic PowerWhy 75?
This is an arbitrary breakpoint that is a measured amount. It attempts to solve two problems:

With it at around this value, you always have two Death Strike available to you
You also need 45 RP - two to three full Heart Strike - to overcap Runic Power
Maintain at least 5 charges of Bone Shield. If Bone Shield is about to expire, press Marrowrend Are there other generators?
As , every 45 seconds, you will predictably gain two Exterminate charges, guaranteeing a Bone Shield duration refresh and additional charges. On top of this, if you play Echoing Fury, you are also guaranteed to come out of Dancing Rune Weapon at essentially Bone Shield cap.

The problem with this is that, depending on how early you spend those Exterminate, you may need to add one Bone Shield generator at the halfway point between Dancing Rune Weapon.

If you are already on 8+ bones and do not have a problem in taunting a target, Death Grip works as an effective Bone Shield refresh.

Cast Blood Boil if Dancing Rune Weapon is active and your target does not have Blood Plague on it, or if you are about to cap on its charges

It is a nice rotation guide but I don't see anything about Raise Dead nor Sacrificial Pact. Is that normal ?

What is a good openerfor m+, say on a new pack? I try to open with a Marrowrend if im low on stacks, else I try to have Swarming Mist. If Mists is on CD, I use Blood Boil. I have a severe issue holding aggro on a pull. I feel like I have to make a choice between mitigation (Marrowrend) and holding aggro (Blood Boil) at times. Any tips?

What is "Painful Death"? I don't see that talent anywhere. Was that from an older patch (very early tww)?

So early on in the guide it says use Blood Boil once during DRW... Then at the end it says never use Blood Boil in DRW. Which is it? Makes sense to get 3 dots up on the target especially considering the consumption increase ticking speed.
